MY REVIEW
This is The Beatles first album with a major record company and they do a great job at getting your attention with the song selection that is used. The album starts off with a Lennon sung tune, "I Want to Hold Your Hand", and follows up with a good McCartney vocal on "I Saw Her Standing There". It also has a good mix of lead vocals giving Ringo one tune "I Wanna Be Your Man" which fits his style well.
This album also contains "Don't Bother Me" the first Beatle song written by George Harrison. George does a fine job on this tune but lacks the song writing skills of Lennon/McCartney.
It also features George Martin on piano on "Not a Second Time" and lets people know that their producer can play some music as well as the other guy.
This record is filled with a simple music style showing that there is no stand out musician in the group but a solid team effort to make them a big name in the future.
