MY REVIEW

This is The Beatles final album to be released. I was recorded before "Abbey Road" but Phil Spector took a long time working on the production. You can hear in this album that they are ready to part their ways.
Even though "Two of Us" was recorded in the studio it has a live air about it. Written by Paul McCartney this song has some good harmony with John and Paul both singing leading vocals.
Paul gets some mellow tunes in with "Let It Be" and "The Long and Winding Road", both of which are excellent tunes. John Lennon contributes a mellow song "Across the Universe" which features George Harrison on sitar. This is also an excellent tune.
George Harrison has two songs on the record, "For You Blue" and "I, Me, Mine". He wrote "I, Me, Mine" during the "Let It Be" sessions showing his emotions during this period.
This is an excellent showing of rock and roll. Too bad you can tell that The Beatles are falling apart during the making of this album.
